Welcome! My name is Yuriy Krykun, and I am a 24-year-old International Master, full-time coach, and author. Originally from Ukraine, I have been living in the US since 2019. I have been teaching chess full-time for 7 years and have more than 14,000 hours of experience teaching club players, which puts me in a truly unique position to understand your needs and show you the exact steps to get better.
My background and goals
At first, I shared my methods and insights with private students only. But then, I developed a tremendous interest in writing and am incredibly honored to have been named the Chessable Author of the Year in 2022. Many of my courses, aimed at simplifying the learning experience and making it truly digestible, have been nominated as the Best Course of the Year.
Now, my goal is to share my knowledge and passion for the game with even more chess enthusiasts all over the world through group lessons, my blog, newsletter, and every other possible way!
