Reviews about Chessable courses
I know that reading chess books can be overwhelming. As an experienced coach and author, I strive to make the learning experience accessible, realistic and not overwhelming. My courses focus on ideas, concepts, principles, not specific lines. Here is how students feel about them.
I've owned Giri's Lifetime Repertoire in the French for over a year now, and it's been my mainstay defense against e4. I bought this course on a whim, thinking it would be nice to see some new ideas in the French, and ended up with a treasure that I expect will revolutionize my game against e4.

It’s incredible how well Yuriy explained all the ideas in this course. I already owned his French course and was amazed by the chapter on structures and ideas, as well as his detailed explanation in the theoretical lines, but this course has taken it to a whole new level.I think it’s a good choice.

I'm about 2250 on lichess and frequently get confused but too long forced opening variations... I like strategic positions and understanding. For those like me, who find definitely hard to memorize several thousands of long moves, this course is just OUTSTANDING!, Your course is simply fantastic!

Yuriy is up there with the best. Actually a part of me would have liked to keep this course a secret so I can spring it on folk over the board. Hopefully they will be fooled into thinking that because it isn't by a major GM that it isn't top quality. Big mistake! Yuriy is very thorough but also innovative.

I just finished the course and have watched all the video and done all the variations. First, you know the feeling when you watched a great movie and when it ends it feels kind of sad because you want more? That is my feeling in this moment. He describes the structures for each opening is really helpful.

Yuriy is passionate about chess, teaching, and helping his students to succeed. He was quick to discover my weaknesses and show me what to focus on to improve outside of lesson time, recommending books and videos relevant to my level. Equally as important, he's shown me what not to focus on.

An enthusiastic teacher with a mind as sharp as a tac, Coach Yuriy meets you where you are and gently pulls you up to the next level. While this is my first experience with being coached in chess, I cannot imagine it going any better. Four lessons in and my rating has improved, I feel I have a better sense.

I was a complete Chess noob when I asked Yuriy to become my teacher. From the time I started, to now I have learned so much about Chess, I feel like I could even improve on my own with the lessons I got from Yuriy. He answers all of my questions without issue, and most importantly he helps you develop your own playstyle.

If you're looking for a coach, stop here! Yuriy is by far the best chess coach I've ever had. He has both an enormous amount of knowledge and the ability to communicate it clearly and simply. Yuriy has helped me become more confident in playing a variety of positions.

Yuriy is an awesome teacher! He's really good at bringing a new perspective to the games I play, helping to pick books for me to read and work through, and generally coming up with a good plan to not only help my rating improve, but help me develop a solid foundation.
